My mistake. Did not notice that your profile shows Windows.
Should ask everyone their OS details before venturing a reply.
However , DR TCP may be useful to others still using old OS
of Windows and accessing this thread.
Para two :
.Can you disable (Yahoo) Messenger from Startup.?my messenger reconnects when i download anything from utorrent or http links
or disable it from Taskbar.and try again torrents download?
@ motorazor mtu value is 1492
Actually i logged in to utorrent irc and asked people their and they told me to try seeding 2-3 torrents and leech 1 torrent at a time , i did that and my messenger doesnt reconnects but the problem is that i cannot just seed 3 torrents and when i seed more than that again messenger reconnects .
This all is happening coz my router is not capable of handling load of torrent client so i am told to change the router but airtel will again provide me with the same model so its better that i go for some good router and i dont have appropriate knowledge of which one to go for and i have laptop also so i wanna go for adsl2 router plus wifi . I dont know whether its possible but please recommend me with good routers which has wifi also for airtelbb
Check your antivirus client. see if your AV scanning utorrent and active mode rather than passive. If so add utorrent to the exceptions list.
alternatively you could scan files after download, there is a setting for that in utorrent.
I had a problem of the same sort where my NOD32 AV was scanning utorrent peer connections thereby stopping anything else from accessing the internet.(had to restart the computer everytime to be able to browse again)
one can also test by removing AV/Firewall completely and then downloading with utorrent with messengers logged in.
Try using DMZ inside the router.
These steps are not for permanent use, but only for testing and narrowng to the cause of the problem. Kindly try them and revert back.![]()

Added utorrent to the exclusion list in nod32 3.0 but still the same problem . what is DMZ?

1. Download and apply the appropriate 'Patcher' for ur tcpip.sys version from here: Download Vista tcpip.sys and UAC Auto Patcher to Increase TCP Connection Limit My Digital Life ...reboot.
2. Open µTorrent Preferences>Advanced ...change the value associated with 'net.max_halfopen' from 8 to 50 ...restart µTorrent.
3. Preferences>Bandwidth>Max peers per torrent ...now this will require some hit & trial and depends on ur connection speed and also if u use public or private torrent sites. Setting too high a value will choke ur connection and result in slow browsing and dropped connections/failed pings. Also in extreme cases some modems are unable to handle too many simultaneous connections causing disconnections and such. Too low a number will simply mean that u won't max out ur connection.
So the idea should be to put in the lowest value with which u can reach ur max connection speed. For eg. on a 256k connection, u should be easily able to max out ur connection with just 4-5 seeders provided u use a good pvt. torrent site. So start off with a low value and keep increasing it till you reach ur top speed. You may have to keep changing this value if u use different sites and public trackers. The value will almost certainly be higher with public torrents because everyone caps their uploads.
Also, if u seed a large number of torrents simultaneously, then try lowering the 'Upload slots per torrent value to 3 or even 2 (default is 4) or unchecking the 'Use additional slots if upload speed < 90%.
