    So, now,

    Slow speeds + Data Limits.

What's next? 56 Kbps broadband with 100 MB limit?

And what about people like me who are using BSNL 2 Mbps NU? We can download ~100 GB during a month by just using net daily for 6 hrs. So this rule does not apply to BSNL 500 plans??

frankly speaking there cannot be any such rule. trai does not even make rules!

trai would never force ISPs to implement such limitations!

its the ISPs which are trying to use some less known guideline related to abuse of their network by customers.

if there is any guideline in the first place.

i guess this is a fair use of airtel's logo and i should not be sued for it.

Now this is really a ****in policy..How on earth can they call a plan as unlimited and impose data cap on it.Then what's the point in calling it as UNLIMITED.i never expected these kind of shitt from Airtel to say the least..

I don't think TRAI might have imposed any such policies..This is the trick by airtel to fool their customers.Guys keep an eye on Airtel's share prices..If this news gets liked out then you are definately gonna see Airtel coming down to it's feet.

broadband business does not really affect ANY company in the indian market. especially the consumer segment of the market.

airtel is a giant in the mobile market and they are profitable there. we are using a step son service from the company.

Well well well...so thats even more bad and shocking news...here is my story

Like many people I was on 384kbps plan. From 7th Feb. I was getting speed of 256kbps. When I called the CC they tried to fix the issue online but it didn't happened and they filed complaint. Later on they called and told me that the issue is with backend team and they will resolve the issue soon. But finally after 5 days, today evening they told me that I used too much bandwidth so they reduced the speed. They will increase the speed from next month.

They told me they sent a letter to every consumer but I haven't received anything. I was obviously pissed off.But what can I do, I cannot even shout and show my anger to CC cause obviously its not their fault.

So what will be my download limit 15gb or 20gb...and how we are gonna track our uses. This sucks so much. When finally we started to dream about mbps it got worse. Really shocking and sad.
