Quick e-Bill Facts
Using green-friendly e-bills is a great way to help reduce the demand for paper.
One ton of uncoated virgin (non-recycled) printing and office paper uses 24 trees.
One tree makes 16.67 reams of copy paper or 8,333.3 sheets.
Every ton of paper recovered saves 3.3 cubic yards of landfill space
Let us together go forward and make the world a better place to live in!
airtel claims that customers have OPTED for e-bill. what a freaking joke.

I dont know how much it costs them to send the bill but surely it must be atleast Rs 5
10,000,000 x Rs 5 is = Rs 50 lakhs....you must appreciate their effort in cost cutting![]()

Last month I got an alert stating I had been 'upgraded' to ebill. Had to login to their site to change to paper bill. And today I receive another SMS that I will be upgraded to ebill next month. Disgusting part is this time the site does not accept my changes to continue paper bills.

Shit is really what Airtel is upto nowadays. Have wasted many hours complaining about one thing or the other.
btw, is there a mobile version of IBF?
I got paper bill this month too though last month with bill there was a page stating that from next month it will be ebill. Its very confusing. BTW I dont see #airtelsucks these days in posts![]()
OK people, time for an update. :|
So, as you people know, Airtel has stopped sending me paper bills since two months. I used to get the E-bill regularly so I didn't complain. Now, this month they still haven't sent me E-bill - So, I'm left with nothing - neither paper bill, nor E-bill. I usually get the E-bill on 28th or 29th but now it's 6th of new month but still I'm waiting for my E-bill. :|
I called CustCare (121). The guy registered a complaint and promised me that E-bill will be sent within 12 hours. After 2 hours, they sent me an E-bill on my Gmail. But guess what? They sent me the wrong E-bill. They sent me E-bill of Jul 2010 (which I have already paid) instead of Aug 2010 which I requested. :| Are these people so dumb that they don't even know whether to send an unpaid or paid E-bill? This is BS.
Now I have to Email the nodal officer just to get the ****ing E-bill. If I don't complain before payment due date, then they'll start calling me to pay and they might even disconnect my broadband for no fault of mine. Airtel has changed for sure. Previously, it was awesome. Now, I think 10 times before recommending Airtel to someone. Now Airtel doesn't give a **** about their customer's problems unless their profits start falling.
