Thread: Airtel IPTV Time Shift Supported Channels

just got a call from my wife that a lot of channels including Zee, AXN and Cartoon has been added today to timeshift. I will post the list in the evening when I reach home! But its really a great news!

Airtel adds more channels in Time Shift on Airtel IPTV

Finally its worth the money we are spending! TV is no longer same again! As I mentioned earlier, possibilities are endless with iptv. With so many channels, and a lot of movies in pay per view! Here are my wishlist, if Airtel is listning:
1. Music only channel (list of songs where I can choose and play, with playlist option)
2. Music Videos channel (list of Video songs for choose and play, with playlist option)
3. Customise News channel, where I can choose and save my settings, like I want the international new from CNN, national news from NDTV, local news from any of the local channel, regional news from any of the regional channel, and whenever I want, can watch my own customised news capsule of 30 min.
4. Internet Browser, like Wii Internet channel (game console), where I can surf internet on my TV using my remote, with onscreen keyboard. They can always reduce the speed of internet surfing (they can't afford to give us 8Mbps connection for net surfing). If implemented, people without a PC can also go for iptv, with limited surfing options.
5. Limited space on server for saving your selected shows, which you want to watch even after 7 days.
6. Shopping channel for ordering your monthly items, with Cash-on-delivery option. They can tie-up with Big Bazaar for this.

There are and will be more of these... But I am enjoying it now! And happen to see Tata Sky recently, didn't like it after iptv experience! I am glad I opted for iptv and not any other one!

I have 1 doubt regarding this TSTV. Is the quality of the recorded programs as same as the original live feed? Or are the programs/channels recorded in low quality on their servers?

earlier this week we had this problem of some of the programs not working in TSTV, but it is restored in a day. Now we have another issue, on some of the channels, program guide is missing for 2-3 days in TSTV. like on star movies its just "Movie" instead of the name of movies. Could be a server glitch!

Also, about the quality of TSTV, I don't see any difference in live or TS at all. Its the same quality in my opinion. All service provider (Dish or IPTV) get the feed from satellite, re-encode it into their own format, and then transmit it. Airtel is saving the files on their server, in their own format, so no loss of quality here. What we get in IPTV is a 8 Mbps connection, where 6Mb is used for stream, and 2Mb for buffering.

i never face this problem with pause. but twice it happen that while watching timeshift, all of a sudden it hangs and switched to live tv.
