Re: UTStarcom WA3002g4 and nokia wifi phones. i think you have to use ppoe mode when connecting wirelessly with a phone!!!normally phones dont support PPOE.. so u have to have the wireless router to dial for u!!!

Re: UTStarcom WA3002g4 and nokia wifi phones. even if you only have the bsnl modem u still can do it.. just make sure it is in ppoe mode..enable DHCP.. and set the DNS servers!!

I have enabled DHCP.Even I have assigned the phone IP address to one in the DHCP range
I have also set the DNS servers to Open DNS
when I try connecting form phone it is trying to connect after some time its getting "No gateway reply"

Re: UTStarcom WA3002g4 and nokia wifi phones. Dont do that.. if you have enabled DHCP in the modem.. then dont manually assign an ip on the phone.. if you have disabled DHCP then you can assign an ip on the phone!!.. try setting the phone to automatically get an ip!!

I am facing the same problem
Am using UTSTARCOM WA3002G4 modem and am trying to connect N95 to internet using the Data one connection.
But as i read from many forums N95 do not support PPPoE

Dude how did you put your username and password in the modem configuratton, I mean which screen?? I am unable to even connect any site using N95 + WIFI connection (u are able to browse Google through the phone???)
Are there anymore idea on these??

I am using WiFi on my N91 with ease on PPPoE, Its a Shame on Nokia if something as high as N95 does not work.
Yeah, but you have to set the WiFi to open for all (including data thief :confused:
)
Nokias do not work well with secured networks (Eg WEP , WPA)
