Cool Ultimate Night free Usage Manager.

Guys i have found one free utility "Imran's Broadband Helper Utility" for Managing the "free usage time" Optimally.

Basic Concept Under this Software is:-

Start the Computer at say 09:00 PM, Schedule some big downloads, and go for ur sweet dreams (optionally turn off the Monitor - save power).

    What the S/W does is:-

it will disable ur connection from 09:00-02:00, such that there will be ZERO usage during this period.
it will reboot ur Modem at 02:01, such that a new connection start in free time.
it will try to raise speed or maintain connectivity during the entire night.
it can reboot ur Modem at 07:55, such that a new connection start at that time.
it can ShutDown ur PC at 08:00 AM, if u wish.

All the features are configurable, according to u.
last but the most important, it can generate a very good log describing what it has done for u.

u can download it from here:
    Imran's Broadband Helper Utility
    Enjoy.....

Please give feedback on the program & any problem here in IBF.

Well u r not wrong by saying "afraid to use such utility cause of virus" but there are a variety of antiviruses/firewalls/monitoring tools available, if u learn how to use them, then u might get rid of ur fears.

Anyway for how to use this utility, see this thread:

all this can be done with free download manager, which is more reliable and widely used.

did u wan't to say that u can reboot the ADSL Modem with FDM, did u know if u don't reboot the Modem at 02:00 Am then u might receive some huge fines from BSNL.

Sorry this s/w has nothing to do with downloading files.

Nopes, in scheduler of FDM i just schedule dial the connection at 2.15. I make sure before i go to sleep connection is disconnected so that it can be dialled at 2.15 automatically. And this has worked for me so far. Nothing was calculated. So there was no need to reboot the modem.
BTW, i am yet to find s/w to manage rapidshare downloading. I guess it dont exist.

not true!i am using such softwares for a long time but now it's pointless to use such softwares because RS has limited speeds for free users to ~20-40KBps so it will take ~1 hour to download a single 100MB file so you can only download 6-7 files(~700MB) from 2-8AM.these softwares were good before when even free users got ~200KBps from RS.
