Ever since 2009 season started stars ports has increased the number of ads and is now showing ads after every 10 mins.
YOu make me and other formula 1 fans from India SICK.
you ruined the 2009 belgian gp by showing ads in the most imp pitstop.
just do us a favor and cancel your contract.I have to watch the bbc coverage and they show 3 hrs non stop coverage.
formula 1 has been ruined thanks to your money milking ads.this is not cricket where you can show ads after every over.there is no field break in f1.
shame on espn star for making formula 1 a joke and if things go like this we f1 fans in India will voice our dissatisfaction by petitioning and awareness campaign.India will be hosting f1 in 2011 so plz dont ruin this for us and for you.

I think for 2010 WC football tournament we can expect ads in every 10 mins and every goal scored too........
Star should maintain the balance between revenue and quality of telecast. They should think about onscreen ads, scrolls, rather than feed breaks. Its really irritating.

They should atleast have a delayed telecast, thereby striking a balance between ads and the race.
delayed telecast??? what is purpose of live? if they delay by 15mins to adjust for 15mins of ads, then when ad comes in last 15mins, i will switch to news channel and news channel will bring up news that this or that guy won, spoiling all the excitement (which is already getting harder to get in F1 now a days)

delayed telecast would also be very hard to manage.
the fact remains... you have to make sure that any important event is not missed because of ads.
like during cricket matches, they would disrupt the ad in between if the over starts a bit early (we have seen instances where ad break ends after first bowl has already been bowled).
but they do manage to get back to the action stopping the ads in between.
the biggest problem with star sports and their ads for the formula-1 is programming ads.
the ads which are not really ads but promos for their own programming.
why would they waste time showing their own promos during the ad breaks in formula-1!
just get the advertisers to submit short relevant ads. 30 seconds 2 ads per break. that would be good enough i guess.
currently they have terrible ads (honda had an annoying fuel efficiency ad that sucked) along with promo ads. which makes it insane for us fans.

I totally agree with you admin...........i think star sports is just showing ads for 30-40 secs but another 30-40 secs they showing other programs or live sporting event promos........which is really not acceptable.........
Star sports atleast during curical pitstop such as pitstop for main teams such as Ferrari, McLAren, Brawn GP, Redbull or during racer toppers pitstop they should not show any go for a break.......
how are they going to know in advance who is going to pit and when? infact after 10-15 laps, there is some or other driver pitting every 2-3 laps. so demand of not showing ad during pit stop doesnt make sense. but yes they shud not show too many unnecessary ads.
Very good question.............more or less most of the pitstops happens at 1 particular time.........there might be a difference in 3-4 laps during that period of time they either stops showing ads or even show ads for 30-40 secs............we cant help if a driver is doing 1 pitstop strategies........
