    Neither. The only part of the network using Cat5/Cat6 cable is from the STB to your computer.

    I remember when I had gone to buy my WRT54G, I verified the serial number to make sure I got an old model

    i dont mind having the model i have now because i have done nothing special with it.

    i just set up my wireless network. put in the security settings and thats it.

    would think about upgrading to a n compatible model in the coming months...

    my local wireless network is too slow. sharing files is faster using pen drives... so that's something i have to fix.

    Forget WiFi-N for sharing files - still too slow (ask me).
    Get 2 Hayai connections at home and share files at 1 Gbps

    duh. it would still require the house's internal network to be as fast.
