Oh, people can come up with statistics to prove anything. Fourty percent of people know that.

ON READING BOOKS:

I swore never to read again after "To Kill a Mockingbird" gave me no useful advice on killing Mockingbirds! It did teach me not to judge a man by the color of his skin, but what good does that do me?

ON TELLING THE TRUTH:

I don't mind being called a liar when I'm lying, or about to lie, or just finished lying... but not when I'm telling the truth!

ON HARD WORK:

If something is hard to do, then it's not worth doing.

ON PRACTICING RELIGION:

I'm not a bad guy! I work hard, and I love my kids... so why should I spend half my Sunday hearing about how I'm going to Hell?
