Default Ubuntu 7.10 is the hotness :)

See Review of Ubuntu 7.10 (gutsy) new features and changes

Looks like Linux on the desktop is getting better and better, faster thanks to Ubuntu's/Canonical's efforts with Mark Shuttleworth's sponsorship

I wonder why the new features don't amaze me. I just get a feeling that Linux developers, world around, are starting to get complacent/lazy. Ubuntu still has much other important issues that it should take up first, rather than focussing on eye candy/new features.

Ok. Now list the features that are missing from Ubuntu or Linux in general.

Well, Ubuntu is focusing on important features and not just eye-candy. What do you think is missing?

They have BulletProofX (failsafe X config GUI mode) which I think is good, plus their tickless efforts to reduce power consumption for laptops etc...

And games....., which when they do arrive in full strength, will mark the beginning of the end of Microsoft Windows.

Login as root. At the terminal type:
    Code:
    grub-install /dev/sdb

If you boot from your first HD, then change /dev/sdb to /dev/sda.

If that does not fix it, head over to the ubuntu irc channel. They're pretty helpful.
