thats the only thing im crying over on mandriva.

Many people wanted google voice chat in linux, and empathy is a solution for that. There is one problem though that calling from empathy to gmail (browser) doesnt work while it can call gtalk(desktop software)

So here is some good news , gmail voice chat now works under wine!! Video doent work , but voice is here!!

yeah its a shame that google did not release their gmail voice/video plugin on linux

well at least with chrome it is official that they are working hard on a version.

you can in fact download a bare bone browser engine right now to check it out.

about the video plugin, there is no clarification.

Firstly ,I use empathy chat/voip client on GNU/Linux.it works almost perfect.for Ubuntu ,you can add the ppa repo for latest version.with pulse audio ,you may have to trial-and-error method to have it working.

for video ,skype is working.but my webcam(logitech) with gspca driver needs a little tweaking.

look at the brighter side.adobe releases the flash beta 10 for Linux/*nix first .
