its all your fault. heh!!! Joke
----------
I tried to log on with the new usb install. Had a couple of errors, then had to turn off apci (I think thats what its called) and turn on edd. The errors were rectified, but took very long to load (close to maybe 5 min), longer than it took on the same usb drive to load a live session I was trying before made with ubootin ( I think thats what its called). Now installing drivers after which I will have to reboot to see if everything is saved or not. I selected 1 GB space while creating the usb startup stick for saving files and settings. Now to see if it works.

Ok just rebooted. this time only selected F6>ACPI = Off. works fine. my nvidia driver is still installed on reboot. The Firefox history is intact. Overall GREAT SUCCESS![]()

Ok I am using this for last few hours I think now. Wanted to share a few things here.
Right off the bat, The speed is a lot more faster. I dont know it is because the whole system is in the Ram that is why(Maybe) because I am using a live session. Anyway lot more snappier. I am using Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala Alpha 6.
The version of Gnome is 2.27.92
Few other changes I noticed here where
Games menu - Now has a subclass of games called Logic
The Version of Gimp is 2.6 Not sure if it is the same as 9.04
The OpenOffice version in 3.1 which is the newer version. My 9.04 has 3.0 installed by default.
Under system there is the new software store
Under system> administration there is the all new diskutility
Under system > preferences there is something new called ibus. When I click on this it asks me if I want to enable ibus. I choose no, because I have no Idea what this is.
There are some other new things on the upper taskbar. An icon which on clicking gives an option to use empathy or evolution to send / receive messages.
Also on clicking on the user account on the extreme right, they have some extra options now. I think this is the integration with Empathy.
Also finally the Audio > Preferences the GUI and options have changed somewhat.
EDIT : Forgot to mention FireFox Version by Default is 3.5.3
Lastly UbuntuOne is now integrated into the system.
There was one problem where I just cannot get my Rhythmbox to stream music. except that the drivers were installed without any problem( contrary to the previous version 9.04 where it took a while to figure out the drivers for NVIDIA .96) {Which ofcourse turned out to be a bios issue}
PS: I know the post is too long, and I apologise if it bothers you, let me know I will delete it. I know I could have made the pictures small like a thumbnail, but that would have made it harder to read the details/ or you would have to go to the host site to view the image.
Overall I think there are a lot of improvements. although I downloaded the alpha 6 last night I checked the update manager and there are close to 200MB's of updates available. So yes its constantly being updated.

how i can change from ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10 alpha release.. directly...
Software Store must have the option to Install/Uninstall programs.
----------
To upgrade from Ubuntu 9.04, press Alt+F2 and type in "update-manager -d" (without the quotes) into the command box. Update Manager should open up and tell you: New distribution release '9.10' is available. Click Upgrade and follow the on-screen instructions.
They made the Software store for easy installation of software, and is going to replace the add/remove / synaptic entirely. I got this from a video I saw on Youtube.
