Net Neutrality: This site has been blocked as per instructions from Department of Telecom #indiablocks

I have 2 connections: BSNL Netone-Dialup(my personal) and AirtelBroadband(close friend's). and that site was earlier not working on Airtel but later was working on Airtel.

Blackcats is games torrent site, it has full version games for all platforms (PC, ps2, xbox etc). Aitel cc told me that they dont block any site, they told me to use different dns servers and if that dosent work then format windows to make the site work again.

Airtel might be blocking some sites for heavy users because I was a member of this site for more than a year and I used to download ps2 dvd images which takes 2-3 days to finish. And the site works on my other airtel line on the same computer, so my computer isnt the problem.

Well what exactly is a heavy user? They offer only 256Kbps as the maximum for an unlimited to start with, at that speed you can hardly download "heavily".

Recenty airtel stopped giving double speeds at night in some areas in delhi/ncr because of shortage of bandwidth they probably dont even have enough bandwidth in NCR to provide 256 kbps unlimited.

Joost.com also dosnt work on my 256 kbps unlimited line but works on my other airtel line on the same computer using the same modem. I am sure now that airtel is intentionally blocking sites on my 256 kbps line.

Is it so???? All this time I was thinking its same for all airtel users....
