    Hello,
I want to purchase DTH service but i am really confused so can you please suggest me your ideas..

    1. Is this the best time to purchase DTH?
    2. Are there any offers or should i wait for a festival or something?
    3. What is the quality of after sales service?
    4. Which company offers the best prices(I mean the cheapest, lol)????

Reliance, sky, airtel and sun users can you give me some valuable feedback to help me choose the best.

It' all depend on what tv you have

if you have simple CRT tv then go for tata sky it have best remote to change channel which have great range
you can go for airtel as it is also good for service but have does not have so much range as tata sky remote has
but i would prefer airtel if you do not have problem with remote
just check it out from showroom first

but only choose from these two their are best. do not go for anyother dth. if you go you will be great problem
but my suggestion at last would be airtel(Best after sale service) .
    Bye Take Care.

    Hello aditya raj verma,
Thanks for your reply. I understand that tata offers good service but i want to know how dish tv sucks in this field.. Is there a problem with their set top boxes or signal issues? I also heard about something called as blue screen, does it happen only on dish tv?

Oh, by the way i have LG tv.. its not LCD but i dont know if its CRT.. Its a flat screen tv.

Dish Tv have many Problem as they do not update your account and customer care. Many of my friend have Dish tv but they are facing problem just beacuase of it. if you add any pack in dish tv then it take more thatn one day. but in other tata sky or airtel it take 4-5 seconds. For your tv i think airtel is best as it have great quality and good connection pack for new customer as compared to tata sky. but if you like the functioning of tata sky remote then just go for it. it will be good.
    Bye
    Take Care.

Go for reliance Bigtv...Dont ever go wid Tatasky...the prices are sky rocketing...
Reliance offers good packages and they have the lowest prices compared to all DTH's..

well i have both, big tv using from 9months and airtel using from 3months,and i can tell u that to this date i am Not satisified with big tv, horrible stb still has issues , so unless u want to constantly hard power on/off ,reset the stb dont go for it.
the airtel on the other hand has no issues works like a breeze ,its universal remotes works great on my sony tv.

I guess i can give you some idea as i have experience with many services like Hathway Digital Cable TV/ BIG TV/ Sun direct and now with Tatasky.

There are few ways you can decide on go for DTH.

    1. Economical
    2. Good Service.
    3. Channel Count

In Economical you can go for Sun direct. Quality wise Sun direct is OK.. But customer care really sucks. And you may not get the channels which may be in your top ten list.

If you look for Customer service and require a hassle free experience in managing your dth account/quires and issues then go for Tata Sky or Airtel Digital TV. They are very good in service, prompt response and well developed in Customer service. But the packages are little higher than the rest of the operators. You may get your popular channels may be 6 out of 10.

If you look for channels count and can not miss your favorite channels and more aggressive on watching new channels as in when they lauch., then you may go for Cable TV or Digital Cable TV. However again this Cable TV and Digital cable tv subject to cable tv operators decision on providing the channels. But may be we can have fair count that 9 out of 10 channels in your favorite list you will get.

The worst experience i had with BIG TV customer service.. they are not good in service and you need to struggle for each and everything when you have a requirement to call customer service.., channels wise it is not bad but i can not say it is good. But with DISH TV i do not have experience but i heard from FOURM that the customer care is not fare.

So what you will choose now?????

Guess he will choose to throw his TV. You can marry a girl after seeing 5-10 but buying a DTH is more complicated problem right now. Packages are design in such a way even there Mega Packages will not have all your channels. I guess you are from bangalore just check who is your cable operator and understand what Digital Cable TV he is using. Digitelly is one of the best when it comes to Digital Cable TV,Hathway also good. If it is Siti, DigiCable... better go for Airtel. I am using TataSKY there packages are not user friendly.

    Give it a or
you are right. finding a correct dth plan is currently tougher than finding the right girl to marry. the situation is pathetic and we are all in deep shit together.
