    IT took me only 13 minutes to get Win 7 installed an running from a flash drive , its esay to make a bootable pen drive with ultra iso

    BTw windows 7 has problems or has no go when the mother board is replaced , i recently replaced my trouble some abit ip 35 e and installed a new mobo . Windows 7 refused to started . i tried all the option but couldnt repair .

    luckily i had istalled my old hero win xp on dual boot

    i think both windows vista and windows 7 would face issues when a critical hardware component like a motherboard is replaced.

    it considers it as a changed hardware and requires activation.

    i was assuming that the operating system would ask for re-activation. but not working? that's unusual.

    ^True. Windows 7 activates itself by checking the OEM of PC which is nothing but the make of the motherboard.

    No , that's not the problem ... i think its illegal talking abt the bios patch here .

    By mentioning about how Windows 7 activates I didn't encourage anyone to use the 'patch' as you mentioned.

    So I don't think I've done an illegal thing .
