    Default Mozilla Firefox Updates

What the company offer is a set of customized toolbars for the users of Blogger.com, Bloglines, LiveJournal, TypePad and Technorati users. It means if you are a heavy user of any of these services, you can skip the default toolbar and chose one of the versions customized for these tools. What you get along with the routine features are services related custom options making them accessible from the search toolbar itself. For instance, if you are a Blogger user you can install the Blogger version. The toolbar now has a Blog This button (similar to Google Toolbar) which let you Blog with a single click. Other custom options give you fast access to the Blogger homepage, dashboard and user profiles. Similar options are present for the other toolbars customized to that particular service. To one his own set of tools! Can make browsing a lot of fun if you are indeed a heavy user of one of these services.

This release is pretty important from various aspects. It silences the critics who said Firefox was risky to use because it was yet to get into a final release. And with Google endorsing Firefox with a opening page on their own website, and Amazon releasing their own A9’s search engine toolbar for Firefox… it just seems to be starting of a revolution that might someday help dethrone Internet Explorer from the most used browsers status.

This is good news for the open source community. Mozilla Foundation has just revealed that as per their own statistics, Mozilla Firefox has seen more than 75 million downloads ever since the first version was launched in November last year. The organization also said that they are expanding their operations in several other directions. Mozilla also said that their open source mail application Mozilla Thunderbird has also seen more than 10 million downloads since the launch of the first final version.
