tata is the best .. bsnl download speed suxx .. i have proof .. i get a download speed of 350kb/s n even more in torrent ...

i myself have tried using my friends bsnl modem ..

I m waiting for EVDO to launch nation-wide.

Specially mumbai..

sure .. u can opt for it blindfoldedly .. but prefer ta unlimited download plan .. itz 1500/pm + tax ...

Stick to BSNL,don't change from home 500,be safe.I have experimented with BSNL EVDO and HOME 500 both, if you are lucky then only you would get more than 1mbps, but if you are unlucky then you would get speed less than your mobile GPRS.I have seen more than 1mbps speed in EVDO and less than 50-60 kbps too in two different places in one house.I experimented at 5-6 different places and found a large variance .Unless you have large pocket to experiment with, stay away from this EVDO(be it BSNL or TATA), at least till the technology matures and becomes available everywhere in INDIA.

buddy .. myself and two of friends r using tata evdo ..

it does good for all of us .. and every time i connect it reaches more than 2 mbps speed .. so dont comment on tata evdo with ur bsnl experience .. coz my cousin has got bsnl .. and i know it suxx .. than ta normal bsnl broad band ..
if u people dont believe here is the proof .. i made these snapshots to put them in orkut long back ..

it often varies .. and on an average i get above 1.5 mbps every time i check ..

i m staying in a closed place .. even then the signal is fine ..


this is all i cud do to help u people .. i jus wanna let u all enjoy wat i m doing .. so if u still wanna fool around .. no issues .. keep doin ..

and bsnl 500 plan also sux .. coz .. durin the 2 to 8 happy hour .. the connections r much busy.. and the bandwidth is much restricted ...

Well I have rather a different opinion as I download about 150Gs on an average every month by my HOME 500 Plan,I don't really surf in the day time that much because of my work, only after 8:00 PM I get time and on weekends.So I just queue and schedule the downloads and turn of my PC for the night and sleep.Just check all the downloads in the morning and leave for office.I just wanted to say that before spending the 1500/- ,just think once if you can use it or not.If you are like one of those people who download and see the youtube and metacafe videos all day then definitely you should go for a plan which gives you speed and amount both. I didn't mean to exploit anybody.
