Not possible as per Vodafone. Earlier with Hutch also, you needed Hutch access.
Theoretically possible but needs some research. Try googling!!
Just a quick query... I see that you need the vodafone mobile connect service to be able to browse the internet by connecting your mobile with USB cable.. (as an alternate option to the USB stick)
But then I was just wondering if it is possible to browse the net by just using a compatible mobile with in-built modem, usb cable and an active GPRS service ? (whatever be the limitations such as slow speeds, only restricted websites or only WAP sites)
Also, if the answer is a strict "Not Possible", was such an option available earlier let's say on Hutch? or is it available even now on other mobile operators?
Thanks!

I can understand your point.. but I did try all of that before even posting this thread.. but all the methods seem to be ****ed from vodafone's end too.. ;-)
Lets me see if I can find something. Shall post if I find anything.
I guess a PM or a mail would be safer..
Was that a question to me?
If so, the phone is a n79 and it would be connected to the computer via either bluetooth with help of a dongle or an USB cable.
With regards to the landline internet connection, yes it is easy sharing that over wi-fi on a phone.
But we are more concerned about sharing vodafone's GPRS on a computer without Mobileconnect.
